What the work is like

Shifts, kit and how you get paid

  • Shifts. Event shifts are usually 8 to 12 hours, mostly Fridays, weekends and evenings. Multi-day festivals run consecutive days. We tell you the roster at least a week ahead.
  • Kit. We issue the ZENOSC vest, cap and radio. You bring black trousers and boots; suits for protection officers.
  • Briefing. Every deployment starts with a site briefing before gates open. You'll know your post, your supervisor and the radio channel.
  • Pay. Paid [weekly / monthly, confirm] by bank transfer, with a payslip. Transport to remote venues is arranged by ZENOSC.
  • Progression. We promote from within: existing staff are offered supervisory roles before we hire from outside. Grade E officers who show up, stay sharp and lead well move to Grade D and C. We [support / fund, confirm] PSIRA upgrade training.
  • Local first. We give preference to people from the communities around the venues and areas where we work.
